Kap Kallous – “Kalloustein”

A Florida transplant in Los Angeles, Kap Kallous holds a truly unique standpoint as an artist, shaping his musical career on acts of boldness, relentless drive and killer live performances. Kap’s rendition of soulful-rap is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise oversaturated hip-hop landscape. Though active in the underground scene for years, Kap hit the spotlight in 2014 with his decorated album ‘Grandeur’. Following that release he joined the North American leg of the MursDay Tour with Strange Music artists ‘Murs, ¡MayDay!, and Ces Cru. The tour fuelled the fire to create his next album titled ‘December’, which explored a more transparent tone than previous works. During the release of the album, he reunited on stage with ¡MayDay!, promoting the album in Canada and the United States as part of their 63 city Future Vintage Tour in 2015.

Continuing his reputation for constantly releasing new music to his dedicated grassroots fan base, he spent the last decade perfecting his smooth yet antagonistic style of candid hip-hop nuance. The Los Angeles songwriter and rap artist divvies up a refreshing new take on the urban division, encompassing a candid development of rap and hip-hop tonalities. During his musical endeavors, he has frequently collaborated with the likes of Jon Connor (Aftermath Music) Caskey from YMCMB, Wrekonize and Lucky I Am. Throughout his career he has shared the stage with like-minded leading artists’ Sage Francis, Freeway, Twiztid, Devin the Dude and Slaughterhouse.

Reputable for his frequent and steady release of new and innovative music, Kap Kallous has remained steadfast to his extensive reach of proletarian fans. After releasing his Florida inspired album ‘That Juice’ in 2016, he has worked on encompassing a fresh take on his music, delivering the new-fangled style of song composition prevalent in the duality on his latest release’s `Bury Me’ and `Lonely Heart'(Out July) . Kap’s music represents his unique amalgamation for sincere and indicative rap music. With constructions of multiple album releases under way, this independent machine stays consistently working on his craft.

The new project “Kalloustein” is produced by KHOMPONO and is his third release this year.
