Spread Love – “Love Triangles” (Album Review)

New artist Spread Love gives us a new album “Love Triangles”to vibe to.  The picture was painted from the very beginning with”White & Black” which presents a high school setting nostalgic of trying to figure out who you are in a chaotic society. The message of this track is that everyone has high hopes of being the next baller or major artist though that’s not the outcome for everyone, it’s the love in the end that matters. Everyone has their own journey to success, but the key is defining what success is to you. The other side of this song is a conversation with his ex saying everything he would like to express to her.

“Out Of Love” starts with a classic sample singing just that, I can feel the emotion let off in this record as he takes us inside of a hurt couple who cheated on each other and how the mistrust between them causes separation. “Breakfast” Featuring Demi Daygo & Lola Balboa is a high energy turn up record you need to start your day. Spread Love narrates a story of his morning routine, the raw production that Flawless put together went right along with the storyline, cant wait to see what happens in the video. The album continues with

“Can You Feel It” featuring Corey Markiest, this track is like fire from the dragon’s mouth. The high intensity track keeps the compilation balanced with hard gritty beats and reflective cuts. This track sets the bar high with heavy lyrical wordplay, the listener easily becomes attuned with the evolution of the setlist. ” More” reminds me of a smooth Jay-Z record from back in the day but Spread Love drops a little magic on it, poised and controlled for sure creating a dope record.

The song “Rose” feat Joe Dank brings us back to soul music by reflecting his thoughts and inner struggles. The saxophone sample is melodic and underlines the lyrical content within the bars. Spread Love always has a story to tell, this time it’s about watching your surroundings not only with your eyes but your higher senses. “Before you see with your eyes you gotta see with your mind” showing the inspirational touch mixed with realism. “8 Hours” is the last song on the album and is just as potent, the vocals were dope and the substance was delivered making for an overall nice smooth album.
