Cryptkeeper – “Bete Noire” (Album Review)

South African independent Hip Hop is rarely showcased out here in the U.S!  So when we came across Cryptkeeper‘s music, we were just simply blown away!  He recently dropped “Bete Noire” an 16 track full-length album featuring clearly some of the best Hip Hop coming out of South Africa!  His style, delivery and presence on every track on a A+ level from front to back!  He is a perfect mix of conscious, raw, club and trap Hip Hop all in one, this album definitely covers all boundaries when it comes to fresh 2017 independent Hip Hop!

My favorite tracks on this album have to be “Sinner” & “Your Reality”, these two tracks I believe bring out the best in Cryptkeeper’s lyricism skill and storytelling abilities!  I also have to give it up to tracks “Smiling” ft. Mista MaliQ prod. by BigBoyTraks and the best track on the album, his intro track “Set It Off” prod. by Digital Beatz!  Much appreciation goes out the variety of quality top-notch producers of this album! Digital Beatz, Ludick Beats, Silas Beats, Co Kayn, Black Rose Beatz and BigBoyTraks all bring their A game when Cryptkeeper is on the mic!

Seems to me that Cryptkeeper has the all around game in the music industry!  Being a music producer, entrepreneur, and co-owner of an indie urban music label “Iron Clad INK”, he definitely has a bright future ahead of him.  This album can really gravitate a lot on the USA.  He spits better than the majority on these, quote on quote RAP SUPERSTARS!!  Pretoria, South Africa should be really proud of what Cryptkeeper delivered on this new album “Bete Noire“.  He puts his city on the map as for as I’m concerned!  Make sure to support and listen to this album today!  You can find him on Twitter FB & IG!
