Sacramento, CA independent Hip Hop artist Andru Defeye releases his new video titled “Dear White Rappers“, which is an uncensored open letter calling out all culture vulture rappers too scared to fix their faces to say “Black Lives Matter.”
Andru Defeye is an established poet, writer, film editor, emcee, and journalist. As a poet, emcee, and host he has performed everywhere from art museums to festival stages while also designing and developing a Hip Hop based curriculum that meets common core standards in classrooms. Defeye has shared stages with revolutionary poets (Jared Paul, Bonafide Rojas, Jack Hirschman) and world renowned Hip Hop acts (GZA, Pete Rock, Atmosphere) alike and worked to create innovative spaces for art in West Coast communities as the founder of the Zero Forbidden Goals performance art crew (ZFG). Defeye has worked since 2006 documenting local arts and culture as a writer and editor with publications including Sacramento News and Review and Submerge Magazine.
